you usually dont take the rings off because they actually fit. when they fit they dont move around, so they are not in the way of typing or doing other chores/job stuff. i personally put on the band first then the engagement ring because it is easier to take the engagement ring off when i put on gloves for work (ob nurse), and keep the wedding band on.
I ware 3 rings regularly…even when I am sleeping…!

I dislocated ring finger 90 degrees middle joint, i was very lucky to be unmarried, i cant imagine the trashfire of having a ring on a very broken finger. But a fake wedding ring can be a booster if being interviewed for job by corporate goons.
